Vintage Economical Foods For Lentils With Pasta And Also A Spice Crumb Cake

LENTILS WITH PASTA two cup dried lentils1 cup finely chopped onions1 tbsp olive oil2 to 4 cloves of garlic minced, use quantity to suit your taste1 tsp ground coriander8 oz pkg elbow macaroni pepper and pepper to suit your taste1 tbsp butter1 or 5 cup new minced parsley OR two Two or 3 tablespoon dried parsley flakesSoak lentils overnight in h2o to cover. Sum h2o if wanted as lentils shall absorb some regarding the water.



Bake until lentils are soft. In a huge skillet, heat oil. Saute onions over moderate heat until they can be soft. Sum the garlic and bake until soft. Sum the coriander and stir in.

SPICE crumb cake 4 glasses all-purpose flour2 glasses packed beige sugar2 tsp baking soda2 tsp each ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves1 tsp salt1 cup shortening2 eggs2 glasses buttermilk2 tbsp molassesIn a mixing bowl, combine the flour, beige sugar, baking soda, spices and salt; slice in shortening until mix resembles coarse crumbs. Remove and set aside two cup of mix for topping. In another bowl, beat the eggs, buttermilk and molasses. Sum to the remaining wheat mixture. Combine together well.



Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle together with the reserved topping. Fry at 350 degrees until a toothpick inserted in center returns out clean, about 35 to 40 minutes.
