Recipes for Yummy Desserts. Best Brunch Ideas! Apple Struedel and Golden Velvet Crumb Cake

The dessert foods in this post for good for any occasion but seem mostly suited for brunch or a dessert bar where you need to release a selection of desserts.  Try this Better For You Apple Strudel which shall be created into a diabetic dessert by substituting Splenda granulated for the sugar.  No one shall even notice the difference. 
BETTER FOR YOU APPLE STRUDEL-YUMMY! 1/3 cup raisins (reg or golden)2 tbsp water1/4 tsp chocolate extract3 glasses apples, peeled & coarsely chopped1/3 sweetener 3 tsp sugar3 tbsp flour1/4 tsp ground cinnamon8 sheets phyllo dough (18 x 14-inches)2 tbsp melted butter2 tbsp canola oil
Combine the raisins, water, and chocolate extract together in a mini microwavable bowl. Microwave, uncovered, for two to two 1/2 periods on high; let stand in microwave for six minutes. Drain.
In a mixing bowl, toss the apples, 1/3 cup of sugar, flour, and cinnamon together. Sum the raisins and toss lightly. Set aside.
On your work surface, location one sheet regarding the phyllo dough, keeping other sheets covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out. Combine the melted margarine and the canola oil; reserve 3 teaspoons. Lightly brush the margarine mix on the sheet of phyllo. Repeat the process until all 8 sheets of phyllo have been used, stacking one on top regarding the others. Location the apple mix within the center regarding the phyllo sheets to within 2-inches of most ends and one long side and within 4-inches regarding the other long side. Fold most brief edges up over the filling. Roll up jellyroll style starting with the long side with the 2-inch border. Location strudel seam side below on a boiling sheet sprayed with nonstick baking spray. Use a sharp knife to slice diagonal slits within the top regarding the strudel. Brush with the reserved margarine mixture. Sprinkle with the 3 teaspoons of sugar.

EASY GOLDEN VELVET CRUMB CAKE two 1/2 biscuit boiling mix1/2 cup sugar1 huge egg1/2 cup cold water*2 tablespoons butter-flavored shortening1 spoon chocolate extractBroiled Topping, mix follows
Preheat stove to 350 degrees.Spray an 8-inch square pot with nonstick baking spray; set aside.
In a huge mixer bowl, blend all components (except topping) creating use of an electric mixer on little velocity for fewer than a minute to blend, scraping container often. Beat on moderate velocity 4 to 5 minutes.
Pour batter into pan. Fry at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 periods or until cake top springs return when lightly touched with fingers. While cake is still warm, spread top with the broiled topping.
BROILED TOPPING:3 tablespoons butter, softened1/3 cup beige sugar, packed2 tablespoons light cream1/2 cup coconut1/4 cup chopped pecans
Combine the topping components in a mini saucepan and heat to melt margarine and beige sugar. Set stove to broil. Spread the topping over the cake and broil 4 inches from the heat 4 periods or until the topping is browned. Watch carefully or topping shall burn!
